Back to Reality!
After a 3 hour bus ride to Roma followed by a 9 1/2 hour flight to NYC, I am officially back to reality! However, I had a nice surprise when I arrived; a new TUSCAN restaurant had opened on the upper east side, Cipolla Rossa. It is an authentic Toscana restaurant serving my favorite dish RIBOLITTA! The menu is full of yummy Toscana dishes such as cinghiale (wild boar) and the fabulous dessert panna cotta. I am missing Firenze immensely and am already planning my return, but until then Cipolla Rossa will hold my taste buds over until I return! Ciao for now!

A Spoonful of Chocolate

If you are in the mood for gourmet chocolate at a reasonable price then Hemingway is the place to visit. It is located in oltrarno and is open from 16:30 to 4 in the morning. I got a cafe Hemingway con panna e cioccolata and it was amazing! The best part is they give a chocolate spoon to use. They have a large menu full of fresh desserts, gelato, cocktails and a lot of CHOCOLATE! The desserts are molto grande, so it is a great place to share treats con amici!

DAVID

Today we saw Michelangelo's David in the Accademia and it was absolutely breathtaking! The massive structure was 516 cm (which is around 15 ft)! The David was amazing, but the Accadamia also had a lot of other amazing works of art. The museum was full of unfinished Michelangelo sculptures, which was very cool to see because you were able to see the process. There were also amazing early Renaissance works of art!

Fashion, Style, Love

I am completely in love with the Italian designer Ermanno Scervino. He has the most amazing collection full of fabrics and shapes that are different from anything I have seen. The details are intricate, delicate and ornate. Not only are his clothing pieces beautiful he also has amazing bags and shoes. His label is HOT HOT HOT!

Quando Sta Piovendo in Firenze....

My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is COMPRARE(to shop) and luckily Firenze has many great places to discover! Today I discovered the most beautiful boutique that was full of delicate scarves and feminine shirts and dresses, Faliero Sarti. LE SCIARPE(scarves) were mostly cashmere and silk and were amazing to touch and LE CAMICETTE(shirts) and VESTE(dresses) were mostly silk and cotton. The pieces were pretty prices starting around 150 euro up to 800, but worth the price if you can afford it! It was also such a great store to look around and become inspired!
